Community and Social Welfare Programs
Program Impact and Performance Indicators Description / Details
Permanent Sponsorship Impact in 2023: Supported approximately 2–3 projects, benefiting around 340 children.
No data available for 2024 yet.
Since 2017, TSTI has participated in the Taiwan Fund for Children and Families’ “Permanent Sponsorship Program” and “Indigenous Children Service Program.” In response to social changes, these diverse and professional service programs provide deeper support to disadvantaged children. The “Permanent Sponsorship” involves donating to a permanent fund managed by the Taiwan Fund for Children and Families, where the interest or income is used to sustainably support designated child and youth service programs. This ensures long-term social backing for specialized services that require substantial social resources.
Supporting the Education of Disadvantaged Children in Rural Areas Annual sponsorship: NT$30,000 for 2 students and NT$18,000 for the domestic Blue Ocean Program Since 2017, TSTI has been making regular donations to World Vision Taiwan, providing long-term support for disadvantaged children in Taiwan and continuously sponsoring two children. Through educational subsidies, nutritional support, letter exchanges, and growth reports, TSTI has built warm connections with these children, offering them support to overcome resource inequalities and create opportunities to change their future.

Starting from October 2024, one of the sponsored children has become self-sufficient. Therefore, TSTI has redirected the sponsorship funds to support the Domestic Blue Ocean Program, which no longer designates a specific beneficiary but instead works with local coaches through World Vision to promote youth peer-learning groups. This program uses sports education to guide underprivileged teenagers to learn important values such as self-discipline, honor, perseverance, self-challenge, and teamwork.

Industry-Academia Collaboration Promoted to approximately 80 students, helping young students explore potential career paths.
An annual investment of approximately NT$150,000 was made in industry-academia collaboration and academic feedback initiatives.
TSTI continues to cultivate industry–academia partnerships, actively investing in the cultivation and development of future talent. In 2024, we established meaningful collaborations with several universities and colleges to promote corporate participation in campus activities, including:
  • Conducting two campus company visits to engage in in-depth discussions with faculty members on potential cooperation models.
  • Hosting one in-person campus briefing session and one online session to introduce students to internship opportunities and career development pathways.
  • Promoting internship and recruitment information on the campus platforms of four universities to expand opportunities for student participation.
  • Signing Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with three universities to lay the foundation for long-term industry–academia collaboration.
  • Signing an industry–academia cooperation and academic feedback agreement with National Taipei University.
This year, our “Campus Internship Program” collaborated with two universities to recruit four students for one-year industry–academia internships. During their internships, students participated in real projects and departmental operations, gaining deeper insight into the development and application of the information and software services industry while cultivating practical skills and workplace professionalism.

We also established an internship performance evaluation mechanism to track students’ performance and assess follow-up opportunities for conversion to full-time employment based on their career aspirations. It is expected that in the second half of 2025, one intern will be offered a full-time position at the company.

Through a stable and ongoing industry–academia collaboration program, TSTI aims to help young students explore career directions, broaden their industry perspectives, and nurture the next generation of IT talent for the benefit of both business and society, fulfilling our corporate social responsibility and sustainability commitments.

Charity Walk Event: Supporting the Development of Local Communities Near Our Offices 31 employees and their family members participated in the charity walk to show their support, with employee donations totaling approximately NT$35,500. On October 5, 2024, TSTI sponsored and supported the “Hearts Together • Walk Together” charity walk event organized by the Pearl S. Buck Foundation Taiwan. A total of 31 TSTI employees and their family members participated in the event to show their support.

The foundation’s service scope covers community care centers for new immigrants in Taipei’s northern districts (Zhongshan, Shilin, and Beitou), which are close to TSTI’s Taipei office. By participating in this charity walk at Bitan East Plaza, we aim to support the development of nearby local communities, promote women’s empowerment, and contribute to related community services.

Environmental and Community Initiatives
Initiative Impact and Performance Indicators Description / Details
Low-Carbon Diet Self-Initiative Once Daily Employees voluntarily promote vegetarian, more vegetable-based, or plant-based meal options to support low-carbon diets. This initiative encourages healthier eating habits while raising awareness of the environmental impact of food production. Additionally, lights are turned off for one hour during lunch breaks to conserve energy and reduce carbon emissions.
One-Hour Lights-Off Initiative One-Hour Lights-Off Initiative Every day, the company turns off lights for one hour during the lunch break to save energy and reduce carbon emissions. Additionally, on March 25 each year, TSTI aligns with the global Earth Hour movement, demonstrating support through tangible actions that make energy saving and carbon reduction part of everyday life. TSTI also participates in partner filming campaigns, working together to protect our planet and promote shared prosperity and sustainability.

Supporting the 2024 National Geographic Run — Caring for the Earth’s Ecological Environment Approximately 20 Employees Participated Enthusiastically To promote employees’ health and well-being, our running club joined forces with the Welfare Committee and ESG Task Force to sign up for the “2024 National Geographic Run — RUN FOR EARTH.” The company subsidized the registration fees to encourage colleagues to easily participate in this event in April 2024. Beyond enjoying the fun of running, we upheld TSTI’s commitment to ESG sustainability and environmental issues by inviting employees to care for the Earth’s ecological environment together and protect it hand in hand. Around 20 employees participated in this meaningful run with great enthusiasm.

Earth Day Carbon Reduction Challenge Approximately 37 Employees Participated, Carrying Out 37 Actions and Jointly Reducing 245.5 kg of CO₂ Emissions TSTI proudly won third place in the CUSTOS “Earth Day Carbon Reduction Challenge!” From April 2 to 15, a total of 37 employees enthusiastically joined the challenge, carrying out 37 eco-friendly actions such as eating meatless meals, using reusable tableware, and taking public transportation — achieving a total carbon reduction of 245.5 kg of CO₂ emissions.

Among these actions, our colleagues climbed 10,526 flights of stairs, equivalent to ascending Taiwan’s Jade Mountain (Yushan) eight times.

On Earth Day, we once again called on all employees to reduce carbon emissions through low-carbon commuting options, such as walking, cycling, or switching to public transportation, hybrid, or electric vehicles. By encouraging everyone to change their commuting habits, we move together toward a lower-carbon lifestyle.
TSTI Cherish the Earth – Employee Family Day Approximately 300 Employees and Their Families Participated Employee Family Day is one of TSTI’s most important annual events, designed to strengthen team cohesion, promote family bonding, and foster an inclusive corporate culture. This year, we chose the special theme “TSTI Cares for Animals with You”, and held the event on June 1, 2024 (Saturday) at the Taipei Zoo, with around 300 employees and their family members participating.

Aligned with our ESG core values, the event also focused on the importance of biodiversity conservation. Through fun and educational activities, we raised awareness among employees and their families about environmental protection and wildlife conservation, further embedding sustainability into our corporate culture.
Sustainable Art x Beach Cleanup & “Do One Thing for the Tamsui River” 11 employees and their families participated (Beach cleanup combined with external partners, with around 200 participants in total; collected 123 kg of marine debris) Caring for Water and Ocean Sustainability — Action in Response

Since the first half of 2021, TSTI has supported the “Do One Thing for the Tamsui River” initiative launched by CommonWealth Magazine CSR@CommonWealth and has signed the Tamsui River Charter. This commitment allows our employees to better understand and engage with the Tamsui River, the mother river of Taipei.

As part of our ongoing promotion of river and ocean sustainability, we gathered a team to participate in the “HP Sustainable Art x Beach Cleanup” event organized by our business partner on September 7, 2024.

The ocean is one of Earth’s most precious natural resources — a cradle of biodiversity that provides us with oxygen and food. However, with the accumulation of plastic and other waste, it now faces an unprecedented crisis. Together with our business partners, 11 of our employees and their families took action to clean up the beach and transform marine debris into art, creating a beautiful art wall as a symbol of our dedication to protecting marine ecosystems.
