Healthy & Happy Workplace

Tatung System Technologies Inc. (tsti) details its path to building an ESG-driven happy enterprise. By centering its governance around "Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)", the company coordinates rigorous health and safety frameworks, human rights due diligence, and robust talent upskilling to secure the economic, physical, and mental well-being of its workforce.
The Highlights and Key Achievements represent the concrete execution of these strategies, transitioning tsti's culture from standard policy compliance to measurable corporate performance:
1. Chronological Highlights & Milestones (2023–2025)
The report tracks its workplace development through an annual progression of achievements:
- 2023: Implemented a modern 1-on-1 performance coaching and appraisal system; achieved a 3.89% average salary growth for non-managerial full-time employees; and conducted 494 training sessions accumulating 18,219 training hours.
- 2024: Successfully completed its ISO 45001:2018 recertification; earned the Sports Enterprise Certification (valid through 2027); signed the "TALENT, in Taiwan" alliance; and initiated the Employee Experience Management System to capture workplace human rights sentiment.

2. Excellence in Occupational Safety and Health (OHS) Governance
Rather than treating occupational health as a baseline requirement, tsti achieved top-tier national recognition and launched unique mental wellness initiatives:
- OSHA TOP 10% Outstanding Enterprise: In the 2025 voluntary performance evaluation by the Ministry of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), tsti stood out among 1,370 evaluated firms to be recognized as a TOP 10% Outstanding Enterprise for its OHS transparency and risk management.
- Pioneering "Mental Health Leave": To actively support psychological well-being, the company approved a first-of-its-kind Mental Health Leave policy in 2025. Guided by professional medical and HR personnel, it offers flexible leave options to help employees manage psychological stress and balance their lives.
- Zero Fatalities and Injuries: Over the past three years, tsti and its subsidiaries recorded zero work-related fatalities and zero recordable cases of work-related ill health across both employee and non-employee categories.
- Investment and Wellness Coaching: tsti invested NT$ 5.51 million in employee health and supportive benefits in 2025. In a notable top-down initiative, President Ying-Hsiu Liu (who holds a professional National Physical Fitness Instructor certification) personally coached 26 science-based strength training sessions ("Muscle Fitness: Build Strong Vitality"), contributing to an annual total of 48 sessions and 339 employee participations.
- Ergonomics and Maternity Care: Offices are equipped with height-adjustable desks and ergonomic chairs, and pregnant employees receive customized "Warm Pregnancy Gift Sets" (including pregnancy support pillows) to ease discomfort.
3. Fostering a Friendly, Accountable Workplace
tsti maintains a structured due diligence framework to identify human rights risks and rectify internal grievances immediately:
- Harassment Investigation and Resolution: In 2025, tsti received 5 complaints regarding workplace bullying and sexual harassment. A dedicated investigation committee substantiated 3 of the cases, taking immediate disciplinary actions against the perpetrators, granting mental/physical adjustment leave to the victims, and enforcing complete physical isolation of the working environments.
- Labor Rights Overtime Rectification: After identifying minor overtime underpayments in 2024 for site-stationed staff due to system logic discrepancies, tsti fully calculated and disbursed the retroactive back pay in 2025. To prevent future errors, the company upgraded its infrastructure to a cloud-based Human Resources Information System (HRIS) equipped with automated calculations and regulatory compliance alerts.
- High Employee Satisfaction: Digital Employee Experience & Engagement (EEE) and Workplace Human Rights surveys conducted in 2025 revealed an overall high-satisfaction ratio between 62% and 64%, with the "Leadership and Management" dimension performing exceptionally well.
4. Diverse Talent Cultivation & Economic Security
tsti views competitive compensation and continuous technical enablement as the baseline for talent retention:
- Eight-Year Streak of Salary Growth: The average salary of non-managerial full-time employees reached NT$ 952 thousand (an 8.92% year-over-year increase), while the median salary rose to NT$ 789 thousand (a 10.81% increase). Non-managerial salaries have now risen for eight consecutive years.
- Employee Stock Ownership Association (ESOA): Originating from the "Worker-Ownership" concept with a 30-year history, the ESOA provides a 40% stock purchase matching subsidy to help employees share in corporate capital gains.
- Gender Pay Equity: The basic salary and remuneration ratio of female to male employees reached a balanced 1 : 1.04 in 2025. Female employees represent 30.6% of the workforce, with female leaders holding 22.4% of managerial positions.
- Scale of Talent Upskilling: tsti spent NT$ 3,186,107 on training programs in 2025, reaching 11,976 participants and accumulating 17,737 total education hours.
- Generative AI Training: Addressing the rapid rise of artificial intelligence, tsti hosted 100 dedicated courses and activities on AI/BI tool applications. This program provided 108.5 cumulative hours of training to 1,040 participants, helping employees automate reporting systems and integrate AI assistants like the ibo.ai chatbot into daily workflows.
